About the Role

Boulud Sud Miami is seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in leading the culinary team and daily kitchen operations.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong culinary skills, a passion for Mediterranean cuisine, and experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily kitchen operations and service alongside the Executive Chef.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Train, mentor, and develop the culinary team.
• Assist with menu development, recipes, and seasonal offerings.
• Oversee ordering, inventory, food cost, waste, and kitchen organization.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate closely with the restaurant leadership and Front of House teams.
• Support scheduling, staffing, and performance management.
• Step in for the Executive Chef when needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive culinary experience.
• Previous experience as an Executive Sous Chef, Sous Chef, or Chef de Cuisine.
• Experience in a high-end or luxury restaurant environment.
• Strong culinary technique and knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine preferred.
• Proven leadership and team-development skills.
• Strong knowledge of food cost, inventory, and kitchen operations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Culinary degree or formal training preferred.
