Job Skills / Requirements Unarmed Security Officer- Part time Monday-Wednesday (3PM-11PM) $14.10-$15.00/Hr. Role Overview Security Engineers is seeking dedicated
Unarmed Security Officers to help maintain safe and secure environments for our clients. Officers play a vital role in deterring incidents through visibility, vigilance, and proactive engagement. Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring access points, verifying identification, responding to alarms/emergencies, and maintaining detailed logs. This role requires professionalism, strong observational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Minimum Qualifications • You must hold or be able to obtain a Valid ASRB License as required by state licensing authority• Must be at least 18 years old
Duties & Responsibilities Patrol & Surveillance • Conduct walking patrols to identify and report safety concerns• Monitor access points; verify IDs and credentials• Monitor surveillance systems for threats or suspicious activity
Incident Response & Reporting • Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol• Maintain accurate logs of activities and incidents• Perform routine security tasks (e.g., locking/unlocking doors)
Customer Service & Policy Enforcement • Assist visitors and employees professionally• Enforce site-specific Post Orders and security protocols• Ensure compliance with SEI and client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking)
Required Skills & Abilities Minimum • Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments• Weekend availability• Strong situational awareness and problem-solving skills• Ability to remain calm and effective in critical situations• Basic computer skills; ability to use tablets for reporting
Preferred • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
Physical Requirements (subject to change based on client-specific needs) • Stand/sit for at least 1 hour without break• Walk a minimum of ½ mile without stopping• Climb at least 20 commercial facility stairs without stopping
Education & Experience Minimum • High School Diploma or equivalent• No prior experience required
Preferred • 1+ Year of Verifiable Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience• 2+ years of verifiable customer service experience
